ABOUT US

The Riot is primarily a BMX shop based in Johannesburg, South Africa. We have a shop at Festival Mall skatepark in Kempton Park, as well as an online store. We mail order to all parts of South Africa and some neighbouring countries.

Our modest beginning of selling parts out the boot of a car in 2002, has grown The Riot into a pillar of support for the BMX scene in Johannesburg and South Africa.  We have a full team of amazing riders that we help out with parts and apparel wherever we can. We do our best to bring riders together from all over South Africa, helping to create and inspire a positive BMX community.

Each year The Riot hosts our own Pro/Am BMX contests called Riot Jams, we also sponsor smaller more local events wherever we can. We are working hard to grow The Riot into the most resourceful and convenient BMX shop we can be. We hope that our website will provide South Africa with everything you would need if you have an interest in BMX.
